"Strings of Touch" incorporates participatory performance and moving-image(digital video, analog photography, stop-motion animation) to explore the theme of home, safety, connection and intimacy among Chinese massage parlor workers. The project involves the use of "string figures" - a traditional game played by children in China and other countries. It involves creating various string figures between the fingers by passing a loop of string back and forth between two or more players.
